Petrobras Finds Oil on Brazil’s Equatorial Margin, off the Amapá Coast

Petrobras confirmed hydrocarbons in the Morpho well off Amapá on 14 August 2026, its first find in the Foz do Amazonas basin, but says it is too soon to know if the deepwater oil is commercial.
