It does not necessarily reflect the view of The Herald. Rail passengers are facing disruption this morning after a signalling fault near Motherwell led to the suspension of services. Network Rail Scotland is dealing with an issue in the area between Motherwell and Whifflet, with engineers currently on site working to resolve the problem. As a result, services between Motherwell and Cumbernauld have been suspended.
