Palle Nidra enabling police to have informal interaction with common people, says Vizianagaram SP Damodar

Vizianagaram Superintendent of Police A.R. Damodar on Saturday (August 22, 2026) asked all Station House Officers and other personnel to adopt friendly policing concept to enable common people to come forward to the police stations over their grievances without fear and tension.Speaking to The Hindu here, Mr. Damodar said that the department had made over 1,100 officials including DSPs, Circle Inspectors, Sub Inspectors , Head Constables, Constables to have direct and informal interaction with common people couple of days ago under ‘Mega Palle Nidra’ programme.Mr. Damodar also had a direct interaction with people in Kapusambham village of Garividi mandal of Vizinaagaram district.
