Opposition slams Thiruvananthapuram Corporation Mayor V.V.Rajesh over claims regarding U.S. trip

The Opposition Left Democratic Front at the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation has slammed Mayor V.V.Rajesh over claims regarding his U.S. trip. LDF Parliamentary Party leader S.P.Deepak accused him of misleading the public by making tall claims on a private visit. “The Mayor, who went on a private visit at the invitation of an American Malayali association is making baseless claims not befitting the position of Mayor. When the travel permit issued by the Union and State governments do not include any official or semi-official programmes, making such statements after returning is tantamount to misleading the public,” said Mr.Deepak in a statement. He said that the people have not forgotten the Delhi trip undertaken by the Mayor and his team with great fanfare immediately after coming to power.
