Illegal sand-winning operators at Tsopoli in the Ada community fled their operational site ahead of an enforcement exercise by the Minerals Commission and the National Anti-Illegal Mining Operations Secretariat (NAIMOS) as authorities step up efforts to clamp down on unauthorised sand-winning and stone quarry activities.
