One held over hoax bomb threat to train in Kerala’s Kasaragod
A message claiming that a bomb had been planted on a train sparked a security scare, leaving the police and passengers on alert in Kasaragod on Wednesday (August 13, 2026) night.The police arrested P.V. Ratheesh, 42, in connection with the incident.The alleged threatening message was received through emergency response support system number 112 at the Hosdurg and Kasaragod police stations as well as the Kasaragod railway police station.Following the alert, the police launched an investigation to trace the origin of the message. The location was subsequently tracked to Mavungal.A police team led by Kanhangad DySP M.V. Anil Kumar and Circle Inspector K.
