Official of backward classes development corporation suspended over irregularities in implementing govt. welfare schemes

Ramesh Heggi, Assistant Development Officer of the D. Devaraj Urs Backward Classes Development Corporation in Bidar, has been placed under suspension following a departmental inquiry into allegations of irregularities in the implementation of government welfare schemes.The suspension order was issued by the corporation’s Managing Director after the inquiry reportedly found lapses in the discharge of official duties.The inquiry was initiated based on a complaint filed by activist Sanju A. Yadav, alleging violations in the implementation of the Ganga Kalyana Scheme and the corporation’s self-employment loan scheme.Mr. Yadav, in his complaint, alleged that the borewell sanctioned under the Ganga Kalyana Scheme for a beneficiary from the Bhalki Assembly constituency had allegedly been drilled
