O’Neill ‘improving’ but misses Celtic game after hospital stay

SHAUN MALONEY deputised for the absent Martin O’Neill in Celtic’s Premiership clash with Kilmarnock yesterday as the 74-year-old continues to recover from a hospital procedure. Celtic managed to beat Killie 5-1 to jump above St Mirren in the table on goal difference. O’Neill visited the players at their team hotel ahead of the Rugby Park encounter and is improving after his health issue.
