Nova Scotia puts $1.2 million to develop new tick-control research, technology

Acadia University is home to the Canadian Tick Research and Innovation Centre, a facility that is the first of its kind in Canada. They received $1.6 million from the federal and Nova Scotia governments to support efforts to develop new tick-control and repellency technologies.
