Ask anyone who has lived in Nigeria what NEPA stands for, and they will tell you it stands for Never Expect Power Always. The National Electric Power Authority (NEPA) was the state monopoly that, for decades, generated the country’s electricity, carried it across the country, and sold it to Nigerians, badly.
