Nick Reiner Faces Major Setback In Parents’ Murder Trial

Court documents indicated that Jodi Pais Montgomery, a fiduciary overseeing the fund established by the Reiners for their son, opposed Reiner’s request for access to the money, citing California’s “slayer statute,” the California law that prevents individuals from inheriting money from people they “feloniously and intentionally” kill, according to The New York Times.Reiner was indicted for the stabbing deaths of his parents, director Rob Reiner, and his wife, Michele.
