Next month’s civil drills to be closely tied to Han Kuang

This year’s civil mobilization drills in parts of northern and southern Taiwan are more closely integrated with the annual Han Kuang military exercises than last year’s drills, analysts said, adding that it aimed to build public resilience against “gray zone” activities and the aftermath of war.The Urban Resilience All-Out Defense Mobilization Exercises, which were conducted for the first time last year, are scheduled for Aug. 5 to Aug. 14.The drills include military and civilian scenarios, and would for the first time test coordinated responses among administrative regions, a government source familiar with the matter said.
