The park saw five play area suppliers submit designs for the new play equipment.‌Residents took part in a community consultation event to determine what they wanted for the area. The contract has been half funded by insurance money from the previous equipment, while the other is new investment.‌The play area includes more than 37 features such as slides, climbing frames and swings with space for 42 users.
