Nearly 9,000 barangays nationwide at risk for floods, landslides

ILOILO CITY – Nearly 9,000 barangays across the country have been identified as potentially vulnerable to flooding and rain-induced landslides as persistent rains associated with the southwest monsoon continue to threaten communities. The Department of Environment and Natural Resources-Mines and Geosciences Bureau (DENR-MGB) said 8,911 barangays are covered by its latest rain-induced landslide and flooding
