Nazi graffiti painted in Co Derry village a hate crime, say PSNI

Swastikas painted in various locations around a village on the outskirts of Derry city are being treated as a hate crime, the PSNI has confirmed.The Nazi graffiti has been daubed around Eglinton in Co Derry over recent weeks and, despite the efforts of locals to remove them, more swastikas appeared over the weekend.SDLP councillor Declan Norris, who helped remove the offensive imagery, described the vandalism as “completely unacceptable”.A Police spokesperson said: “Police are aware of the hate-motivated criminal damage that’s appeared in different locations in Eglinton – graffiti daubed on property on Coolafinny Road, Mill Path and Ballygudden Road - we have received a report about this and we are making enquiries.“We’ve also been made aware of issues around anti-social behaviour in the v
