N. Vani appointed Telangana’s new Director of Medical Education

The Telangana government has appointed N. Vani as the new Director of Medical Education (DME), promoting her from the post of Additional Director of Medical Education. The appointment, made through an order issued by Health Secretary Christina Z. Chongthu, comes following the retirement of A. Narendra Kumar on July 31.Ms. Vani, who is currently serving as the Superintendent of Gandhi Hospital, Secunderabad, will assume charge as the DME on August 1.Mr. Narendra Kumar, who took charge in January 2025, was the first full-fledged Director of Medical Education in Telangana.
