Murder suspected as woman is found dead in Lingsugur

A 35-year-old woman was found dead under suspicious circumstances near Karadkal village in Lingsugur taluk of Raichur district on Thursday.​The deceased has been identified as Ranemma.According to Lingsugur Deputy Superintendent of Police Dattatraya Karnad, preliminary investigation suggested that the victim was murdered. The authorities suspected that she was crushed to death using a stone.​Following a complaint lodged by the victim’s husband, Tippanna, the Lingsugur Police have registered a case.
