'Much more to this': Rahul targets PM Modi after US court drops case against Adani

Rahul Gandhi (File photo)NEW DELHI: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday reacted sharply to Gautam Adani's acquittal by a US court and targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the development.In a post on X, the leader of opposition in Lok Sabha said, "There is much more to this than meets the eye. A compromised PM was forced to sell India’s interest. India is paying a huge price."A US federal judge in New York on Monday dismissed the nearly two-year-old criminal case against Adani and the other accused. The US Department of Justice had sought dismissal of the charges, citing six “overlapping bases”, including that the case involved foreign conduct, India had not found “actionable misconduct”, no money had been lost on securities issued and there were “extraordinary proof problems”.
