Much loved music festival returns this weekend

The Penny Lane Weekender was created in 2023 by Liverpool post-punk band Pleasure Island as an event to showcase local artists.‌The first event was hosted in the upstairs room of The Dovedale Towers, affectionately known as The Dovey. John Lennon and Paul McCartney played the venue several times with The Quarrymen in 1957.
