Mr. T slams new Netflix documentary about his life as ‘garbage’: ‘It pissed me off’

Mr. T let loose on Netflix’s new documentary about his life, calling it “garbage” and claiming they missed the mark when chronicling his rise to fame and retreat from the public eye. “The documentary pissed me off, because they didn’t cover a lot of stuff,” the former pro wrestler told the Guardian in unfiltered comments about “Untold Mr. T: I Pity the Fool,” streaming Sept. 8. “When I saw it I was like: ‘What the heck?’ It’s garbage,” he added. “You build me up, then you try to punk me out.” Mr. T — who was born Laurence Tureaud before legally changing his name — recalled saying, “Wow man, I’m more than that.” “Two days they interviewed my pastor, and he gets 30 seconds [on screen],” he said of the documentary.
