Motorcyclist hospitalised with ‘serious’ injuries after Co Down crash

A motorcyclist has been seriously injured following a crash in Co Down.The rider, a male in in his 40s, was involved in a collision with a black Mercedes in the Newtownards Road area of Comber shortly before 2.20pm on Saturday.A PSNI spokesperson said the rider “was taken onward to hospital for treatment to his injuries, which are serious but not believed to be life threatening at this time”.They added: “Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information including dash-cam or other video footage of what happened, is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference number 868 05/09/26.”
