More than 30k new homes are proposed for Trafford – here’s where

One part of the borough will be taking the bulk20:06, 13 Jul 2026More than 30,000 new homes could be built in Trafford over the coming years with one part of the borough taking on the bulk.Trafford council has now published the latest draft of its proposed new local plan, setting out where it believes development should take place in the borough up until 2039. The plan includes allocations for 27,859 new homes – 19,209 of which are expected to be delivered by 2039– and 285,000 square metres of employment land.A further 7,500 homes and 410,000sqm of employment space have already been allocated for the borough through the Greater Manchester Places for Everyone framework.
