More DWP PIP and DLA changes confirmed to start from September 1

From September 1, new Motability changes will be rolled out in Scotland, having originally been announced by former Labour Party Chancellor Rachel Reeves.‌The changes for DWP benefits recipients on the Motability Scheme, which are already being enforced south of the border in England, have sparked warnings from politicians.‌The Motability Scheme, run by Motability Operations, helps disabled people keep their independence. It is used by claimants on a string of welfare handouts, the most common of which are PIP and DLA, which are no longer open to new claimants in Scotland but continue to be paid in some circumstances.‌R
