Monsoon Session of Karnataka Legislature to begin on August 13

The Monsoon Session of the Karnataka Legislature will now be held from August 13. A formal announcement in this regard was made by Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar in Bengaluru on Sunday.Earlier, the government had planned to schedule the Monsoon Session from August 6. However, the delay in the expansion of the State Cabinet has come in the way of holding the session earlier.Now that there are clear indications that the Cabinet expansion will take place on Wednesday or Thursday, the session has been convened from August 13, sources said.
