Moldova to Acquire Drone Interception Systems with EU Funding

Moldova’s Ministry of Defense will purchase new drone detection and interception systems backed by a €120 million ($137 million) EU assistance package. State Secretary of the Moldovan Ministry of Foreign Affairs Valeriu Mija stated that the country’s airspace has been violated 34 times by drones and missiles since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
