Missing two-month-old found safe within 20 minutes at Anantapur Hospital, probe launched

The two-month-old baby girl, who was reported missing from the Government General Hospital (GGH) in Anantapur on the intervening night of July 27 and 28, 2026, was found within the hospital premises, and her condition is said to be stable.According to GGH Superintendent Dr. Malleshwari, the infant, daughter of Pujitha and Ashok Kumar from Mamidakulapalli village in Sri Sathya Sai district, was admitted to the GGH on July 22 for treatment as she suffered from seizures.Around 1 a.m. on Tuesday (July 28), Ms. Pujitha, along with her husband, mother-in-law, and other family members, informed the hospital staff that the baby was missing.
