Missile Strike on Kharkiv Memorial Run Leaves 3 Dead

A Russian ballistic missile, preliminarily identified as an Iskander-M, struck the village of Natalyne in the Kharkiv region on the morning of Aug. 29 during an annual memorial run for fallen soldiers. The attack killed three people, including a local police officer, and injured two others. The incident prompted local prosecutors to launch a criminal investigation into official negligence against the event’s organizers for failing to ensure participant safety.
