Mexico Informality Drove 82% of Job Growth in Second Quarter

Mexico added 599,334 occupied workers in the second quarter of 2026, but 82% of that growth was informal, INEGI reported on 25 August. Mexico informality rose to 55.1% of the occupied population, breaking two quarters of decline.
