Mets promote lefty reliever with wildest strikeout celebration in MLB
Following the trade deadline, the New York Mets had several open spots on the Major League roster. The NL East club traded four of its relievers, including Luke Weaver, A.J. Minter, Brooks Raley, and Huascar Brazoban. To fill one of those open bullpen slots, New York promoted left-hander Jefry Yan from Triple-A Syracuse on Tuesday, reports Francys Romero on X. Yan, 29, signed with the Los Angeles Angels out of the Dominican Republic in 2014. The Mets added him to the active roster in July, but he did not make his MLB debut.
