Mets face tough 2027 Luke Weaver decision before MLB trade deadline
The New York Mets are in a tricky spot with reliever Luke Weaver. The right-hander has a year of control past 2026, but he's having a dominant season out of the bullpen. Would it make more sense for the Mets to trade him now, rather than wait until next season? Weaver's value may never be higher. "The Mets could easily talk themselves into keeping Weaver," The Athletic's Tim Britton wrote.
