Opened in 2004 on the Blue Line, the station was designed by architect Leopoldo Rosa, with art by the painter Graça Morais.Located in the municipality of Amadora, between Reboleira and Alfornelos, Amadora Este seeks to create an open, natural atmosphere inside an underground space. The design uses blue and yellow to contrast with the feeling of claustrophobia, and the high platform walls are painted in these tones to give passengers a sense of openness.Graça Morais contributed to this station by creating two large azulejo panels on the ends of the station.
