The new £26m Royal Daffodil ferry is expected to enter passenger service soon.‌Ahead of its arrival, Mersey Ferries has submitted a licensing application to Wirral Council for the new vessel. The ferry, which was built at Cammell Laird in Birkenhead, is the latest of a number of 'Royal Daffodils' to have sailed the Mersey, with one of its namesakes now acting as a floating restaurant and bar on Liverpool's Canning Dock.‌The licensing application, seeks permission for alcohol to be served on the boat from 11am to 3am, seven days a week.
