The idea of moving on from Doncic was never the right one, even though some in the Mavericks organization at the time tried to make it seem that way. As a result, the focus now is to ensure Cooper Flagg has the brightest future in Dallas. There's absolutely no reason for the Mavericks to do anything else besides make the necessary moves around Flagg, which could even result in the front office moving on from veteran players like Kyrie Irving.
