Marine says he was forced to train despite muscle breakdown
The Marine Corps is investigating allegations that a soldier was forced to take part in training despite suffering from rhabdomyolysis, a potentially serious condition caused by the breakdown of damaged muscle tissue. According to Yonhap News Agency, the enlisted Marine, stationed in Pohang, North Gyeongsang Province, claimed his superiors rejected his request to be excused from training. The soldier lost consciousness during a training exercise early last month and was diagnosed with heatstroke
