Manchester Piccadilly train disruption LIVE as vehicle hits railway bridge near Levenshulme - updates

Train passengers have been warned to expect delays this afternoon (Monday, August 17) after a vehicle crashed into a railway bridge in Manchester.According to reports, the crash has taken between Manchester Piccadilly and Levenshulme railway stations.As a result trains using the line are running at reduced speeds, with delays reported.Disruption is expected until at least 5pm.Transpenine Express said: "Due to a road vehicle colliding with a bridge between Manchester Piccadilly and Levenshulme trains have to run at reduced speed on all lines."Train services running to and from these stations may be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes or diverted.
