Man 'slashed with glass' during Rock Ferry pub fight

At around 10.05pm on Saturday, August 22, emergency services were called to The Bedford Lukes pub on Bedford Road in Rock Ferry.‌There were reports of man being assaulted, a Merseyside Police spokesperson said. A man in his 30s was found with a slash wound to his forehead, which is believed to have been caused by a glass. Following enquiries, a suspect was identified and arrested.‌Steven David Rooney, 45, of Rockville Street, Rock Ferry, has been charged Section 18 wounding with intent.
