Man sentenced to life for murder over debt dispute in Anantapur
A 41-year-old person was sentenced to rigorous life imprisonment for murdering a person due to the latter’s failure to repay a debt of ₹6,000.According to the police, Chakali Srinivasulu, a resident of Nyamaddala village in Chennekothapalli mandal of Sri Sathya Sai district, and Ashok were staying at the Mahatma Gandhi Shelter located in Kovvuru Nagar in Anantapur. On June 25, 2022, around 1.45 p.m., while Ashok was having lunch, Srinivasulu demanded repayment of the ₹6,000 that was due to him.
