Merseyside Police were called to Mount Vernon Street in Liverpool around 3.35pm after a electric-assisted pedal cycle hit a woman as she stepped onto the pavement, near the Linda McCartney Centre.‌The woman, 57, was taken to hospital, where she remains in a serious condition. Police later charged a Liverpool man with S20 wounding following a serious injury fail-to-stop road traffic collision.‌Kieran Connor Sewards, 31, of Chatsworth Drive, Liverpool, has now been remanded into custody to appear at Wirral Magistrates' Court today, Friday, July 10.‌Detective Sergeant Kurt Timpson, the Lead Investigating Officer
