Man due in court over assault of two gardaí in Dublin city centre

A MAN IS due in court this morning charged with the assault of two garda members in the early hours of Monday morning in Dublin city centre. Shortly after 2am on Monday, gardaí on patrol responded to a public order incident in the city centre. During the incident, two gardaí were assaulted. Both members were treated at the scene for minor injuries, a garda spokesperson said. A man in his 30s was arrested. He has since been charged in relation to the investigation. The man is due to appear in the Criminal Courts of Justice at 10.30am.
