Man dies after tractor runs over him

A 37-year-old man died after a tractor, left unattended with its key in the ignition, ran over him after a child climbed onto the vehicle and accidentally turned the key, at Holenarasipura town in Hassan district on Friday.The deceased was identified as Yashwanth H.D., who worked at the KSRTC depot in Arakalgud. He is survived by his wife and their three-year-old child.The tractor, with its key left in the ignition, was parked on the street when a child climbed onto it and accidentally turned the key, causing the vehicle to move. Yashwanth suffered serious injuries. His relatives rushed him to a hospital in the town, from where he was referred to Hassan, but he succumbed to his injuries on the way.Holenarasipura police have registered a case based on a complaint by Yashwanth’s brother.
