Man dead, woman injured in North Lawndale drive-by, police say

A man was killed and a woman was wounded in a drive-by shooting Friday afternoon in North Lawndale, police said. The man, 27, standing near the street in the 3400 block of West 16th Street around 12:40 p.m. when he was approached by two vehicles and people inside started shooting, Chicago police said in a statement.
