Man convicted in slaying of Dutch Marechaussee on Curaçao gets 15 years

He was sentenced to 15 years in prison.Brood was murdered on May 31, 2024, during a home invasion in Willemstad. Robbers broke into the family home. They ransacked the house and shot Brood while his wife and young children were present. Brood’s widow said the intruders acted violently despite the presence of the children.In the other trial, F. was sentenced to 26 years in prison after being convicted of both Brood’s murder and a separate killing.
