Man and woman arrested after concern for safety of children at north Liverpool house

Police officers visited a house on a street in north Liverpool this morning (Tuesday, July 4) after receiving the report.‌As part of initial inquiries, officers arrested a 29-year-old man and a 54-year-old woman, both from Liverpool, on suspicion of assault/ill-treat/neglect/abandon a child/young person to cause unnecessary suffering/injury. They have been taken into police custody and will be questioned.‌Three children under the age of three have been taken to hospital as a precaution to be checked over.
