Man and a woman die after being pulled from the sea in Cornwall

Emergency services raced to Fistral Beach in Newquay at around 9.45pm on Sunday following reports that two people had been recovered from the sea. Police, paramedics and other emergency responders attended the scene, with a cordon put in place while they dealt with the incident. Despite their efforts, both casualties were pronounced dead at the scene. Devon and Cornwall Police said the families of the man and woman have been informed.
