Man (50) dies following Co Antrim crash

A man has died following a road crash in Co Antrim on Tuesday.Police have named the man as 50-year-old James Bingham.The two-vehicle collision took place in Lisburn at around 5:45am, when a van and a mini crashed in the Belfast Road area. Mr Bingham, who was diving the mini, died at the scene. The driver of the van, aged in his 40s, received medical treatment for injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.The Belfast Road was closed for a time, but has since re-opened. A PSNI spokesperson said: “We received a report at approximately 5.45am this morning, Tuesday 1st September, of a two-vehicle collision in the Belfast Road area of the city involving a white Citroen van and white Mini. “Officers attended, alongside colleagues from other emergency services.
