Man, 102, dies ‘after being pushed off pub stage while band played’

Phillip Ormerod, from Cwmbran, was taken to hospital in a critical condition following the incident at the Crow’s Nest pub in the town on August 1. A 56-year-old man from Llanelli was arrested on suspicion of section 20 assault. Gwent Police have not clarified whether that charge could be upgraded following Mr Ormerod’s death but said he ‘remains released under investigation’.
