Major change to MOT test coming into effect next week

NewsMotorsThe new measure is part of a crackdown on 'ghost MOTs'16:16, 29 Jul 2026The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) has announced a new feature to be rolled out for MOT tests nationwide from next week.‌From Monday 3 August, testers will be permitted to take and upload a photo of the vehicle being tested at the time of its test using a smartphone, tablet or other compatible mobile device.‌Around 2,500 garages across the UK will get access to the feature during this first phase of the rollout.
