Mahindra car developed engine trouble within months; owner wins Rs 1 lakh and new engine
The National Consumer Commission ordered Mahindra to replace a Marazzo engine free of cost. The company and its dealer must also pay the customer one lakh rupees in compensation. This decision came after their claim about bad fuel causing damage was found untrue. The commission noted inconsistencies in the dealer's fuel test report and its timing. Lower courts' decisions were set aside due to flawed analysis of evidence.
