Two lanes of traffic were closed on the eastbound carriageway between junctions 22 for Saddleworth and 23 near Huddersfield this morning (August 14).Drivers have been facing five-mile queues since the lane closures were in place. An earlier post from National Highways Yorkshire on X said: "Lanes 2 and 3 (of 3) are closed on the #M62 eastbound between J22 #A672 and the J23 near #Huddersfield due to a vehicle fire."Delays of 40 minutes and approx. 4 miles of congestion on approach to the incident.
