M61 traffic LIVE as drivers face huge queues as lanes shut on motorway

Drivers are facing long delays on the M61 as emergency repair work is carried out.Two lanes have been closed off on a northbound stretch of the motorway this morning (Monday, August 3) as repairs are carried out on the central reservation. The lanes are shut between junction six for Bolton and junction eight for Chorley.One lane is also shut on the southbound side.
